The Tier 2 BFA Calculator helps you calculate your Estimated Body Fat (EBF) or solve for required measurements (Neck, Waist/Abdomen, Buttocks) to pass the secondary assessment.

How to Use:

Select Sex (Male/Female), as BFA measurement sites and passing standards differ between sexes.
Enter your Age, Height, and Desired BFA % Goal (defaults to 26.0% for males, 36.0% for females).
To test the primary Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR) screening, enter your waist circumference in Section 2. If it is ≥ 0.55, it fails and requires a Tier 2 BFA.
In Section 3, choose which value you want to **Solve For** by selecting its radio button. Select **"Calculate EBF %"** if you want to calculate your body fat percentage directly from known taping values.

Common Scenarios:

Scenario 1: Find Estimated Body Fat (EBF %)

If you have completed taping and want to calculate your final BFA %:
• Select **"Calculate EBF %"** under Solve For.
• Enter your neck and abdomen/waist (and buttocks if female).
• Example (Male, 5'10"): Enter Neck = 15.5", Abdomen = 38.5". The calculator will output EBF 24.3% (PASS).

Scenario 2: Find Maximum Allowed Abdomen (Male)

If you want to know how large your abdomen/waist can be to pass the BFA:
• Select **"Waist / Abdomen"** under Solve For.
• Enter your target BFA goal and expected Neck size.
• Example: Set Height = 5'10", BFA Goal = 26.0%, Neck = 15.5". The calculator will output Abdomen ≤ 39.34".

Scenario 3: Find Maximum Allowed Waist or Buttocks (Female)

If you want to solve for a required waist or buttocks target:
• Select **"Waist"** or **"Buttocks"** under Solve For.
• Enter your target BFA goal and the remaining two measurements.
• Example (Solving Waist): Set Height = 5'6", BFA Goal = 36.0%, Neck = 14.0", Buttocks = 40.0". The calculator will output Waist ≤ 34.52".

Scenario 4: Find Required Neck Size (Male or Female)

Since a thicker neck reduces the estimated body fat ratio in the formula:
• Select **"Neck"** under Solve For.
• Enter your target BFA goal and your abdomen/waist (and buttocks if female).
• Example (Male): Set Height = 5'10", BFA Goal = 26.0%, Abdomen = 39.5". The calculator will output Neck ≥ 15.66".
